POSITION DESCRIPTION

VOX Solutions is seeking for a DevOps Engineer to join our fast growing company. We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual with a “can do” attitude that will be able to add value to the product’s development strategy. The right candidates will need to demonstrate that they are motivated, proactive, quick learners and hardworking.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help with designing and deploying a scalable infrastructure for a high traffic environment.
• Design and build tools to improve deployment efficiency and gain visibility into production systems.
• Maintain and improve upon the uptime reliability of the overall systems.
• Designing automation tools and improving upon deployment and release pipeline.
• Build monitoring and alerting tools to keep internal teams and external stakeholders informed about system health and platform viability. Identify and implement tools to improve existing environments (CI/CD, monitoring, logging)
• Work with the developers and support their infrastructure needs.
• Create an appropriate level of documentation for implementations
• Monitor systems health and security. Ensure SLAs are met or exceeded
• Configure/implement build reporting based on plug-ins and tools
• Protect the stability of the infrastructure through consistency of builds and processes
• Enhance/extend a configuration/deployment/monitoring framework

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Strong analytical, project management and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Understanding of the global telecommunications market.
• Good oral and written communication, interpersonal skills and fluency in English
• Knowledge of other languages may be an advantage.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Expertise in developing backend components using Python.
• Expertise in creation and consuming API and RESTful services.
• Expertise in relational databases (MariaDB or MySQL).
• Experience using Confluence, Jira
• Experience using version control systems (Git).

DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience running services on container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes).
• Experience using software automation tools (Ansible).
• Experience with in-memory databases (Redis).
• Experience with distributed event streaming platforms (Kafka).
• Experience with API data query and manipulation languages (GraphQL).

Candidates located in Eastern Europe and EMEA regions are preferred.
